One day in a hot summer, a crow felt very thirsty. The crow flew all over the fields looking for water. But it could not find any water. At last, it grew so thirsty that it lost all hope. However, it continued to search for water.
Suddenly, it discovers a jar at some distance. The crow flew down to see if there was any water inside. It set on the jar and looked into it. But there was a little water at the bottom of the jar. The crow tried hard to push his head into the jar. But there was so little water that it couldn’t reach the water.
Then the crow thought hard for a while. After that, the crow tried to overturn the jar. But the jar was heavy. It failed to overturn the jar. Then it was about to fly. Suddenly it discovered some pebbles around the jar. It had hit a good idea. It picked up the pebbles one by one and dropped each into the jar. When it had dropped a large number of pebbles, the water level kept rising.
When the water level rose high enough for it to reach it, the crow quenched its thirst by drinking water to his heart’s content.
