Victory Day

16th December is the victory day of Bangladesh. The day is one of the most memorable days in the history of Bangladesh and the day is important for various reasons.

Firstly, we won our victory at the cost of a bloody war of nine months on this day. Bangladesh became independent and occupied a place in the world map as an independent country. Secondly, on this day about 30 lacs of people including more than 2 lac woman sacrificed their lives for the sake of our independence of our country.

Thirdly, the day reminds us of the great sacrifice of our valiant people. Fourthly, the martyrs and freedom fighters inspire us to shed blood for the sake of the nation. Finally, the day is a day of great joy, hope and inspiration to our country a prosperous one.

The day begins with gunshots and people pay tribute to the departed souls of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country. On this day, the country takes a festive look. The national flag is hoisted on the top of every Government and Non-government Organization. This victory is a victory against injustice and falsehood. We must know the importance of victory if we are a patriot and love our motherland.
