“Digital Bangladesh” is a time-proven step. Though Bangladesh has achieved independence about 40 years ago, still it has not achieved freedom from corruption, poverty, and power crisis. To make the government activities transparent and promote speed to office work, the process is a must. But we have to keep in mind that a continuous supply of electricity is a must to fulfill the goal.

The very first step for “Digital Bangladesh” would be to spread ICT education in the country. Every primary and secondary student should have access to it. Internet facilities should be given everywhere. IT education will be made compulsory at the secondary level by 2013 and at the primary level by 2021.

For “Digital Bangladesh” our communication system should be developed. Measures will be taken for the expansion of the railway. Rail and road connection under the “Asian Highway schemes” must be developed. Bangladesh should ensure basic human needs like food, clothing, shelter, education, and health care for its citizens.

Without meeting any of these needs, Digital Bangladesh is not possible. Bangladesh is a populated country. But the people here have a huge potential. It is very important to create skilled manpower.

We should make our people educated in science and technology. But due to poverty and illiteracy, the use of ICT is beyond imagination. Some people consider it nothing but a fashion. But we should remember that ICT is an essential tool for economic development employment and skilled manpower.

Though Bangladesh has many problems, the people of this country have got a ray of hope as the present Government is committed to building a Digital Bangladesh by the plan “Vision 2021”. Now it is our duty to support the Government to reach its goal. We should raise consciousness among the people about science and technology.

If we can build up a “Digital Bangladesh” We will be able to raise our heads upward with dignity among the nations of the whole world.

Causes of Global Warming

There are many reasons for global warming. Some directly cause it and some cause it indirectly. The flowings are the top causes of global warming.

Greenhouse Effect

Some greenhouse gases like Water vapour, Carbon dioxide, Methane and Nitrous Oxide cover the earth like a blanket. The heat of the sun makes the earth warm and this heat can not go out because of these layers of gases. Thus the earth keeps getting warmer. This is called the greenhouse effect. When people produce more carbon dioxide and other gases from the earth, this intensifies the warming.

Carbon Dioxide

After the industrial development, the number of mills and factories increased. With the increase of mills and factories, the emission of carbon dioxide also increased. This gas is the main culprit causing global warming. Burning of fossil fuels, burning bricks, and other industrial works produce a lot of carbon dioxide.

Destruction of Forest

We know, that trees receive carbon dioxide and give oxygen. For habitation, agriculture, and furniture, people are cutting down trees at random. When the forests are burnt, it creates a huge amount of carbon dioxide. Destruction of the forest helps to raise the world’s temperature fast.

Besides, environmental pollution also helps to make the earth warmer.

Effects of Global Warming

After the industrial revolution, the production of carbon dioxide increased. The carbon dioxide mixes in the atmosphere. When atmospheric carbon dioxide dissolves in seawater, it forms carbonic acid and causes acidity if oceans. Global warming causes erratic rainfall, floods, cyclones, drought, and ice sheets melting which seriously affect agriculture and livelihood, especially in vulnerable countries. This will also affect wild lives. It will change our water supplies, power and transportation system, food production, natural environment, our health and safety.

In conclusion, only the increased amount of carbon dioxide is the main cause of global warming. We should realize the bad impacts of it and find an alternative energy source. The problem is going out of control day by day. We should find an alternative employment source. Self-employment is the only solution to this. The Govt. should try to attract foreign investors. We should inspire young people to self-employment. We have to establish more industries and factories. We should put importance on vocational education. People of our country should be industrious and follow the example of developed countries. We should encourage young people to keep themselves updated with the age of technology. The government should provide free training on various skill development courses, like learning English, Web Development, Digital Marketing, Graphic Design and Animation, Software and Apps development, etc.

The unemployed are the burden of a nation. It has been now acute in our country. So the government should take effective steps to the unemployment problem in Bangladesh. We must remember that no work is negligent.
