ফিলিস্তিনের প্রথম প্রেসিডেন্ট (ইয়াসির আরাফাত) জন্ম গ্রহন করেন ১৯২৯ মিশরের কায়রোতে। তিনি ১৯৬৯ সালে পিএলও এর চেয়ারম্যান নির্বাচিত হন। ১৯৯৪ সালে শান্তিতে নোবেল পুরষ্কার লাভ করেন। ২০০৪ সালে তিনি ফ্রান্সে মৃত্যু বরন করেন। রামাল্লায় তার সমাধী রেয়েছে।

Palestine’s first president (Yasser Arafat) was born in 1929 in Cairo, Egypt. He was elected chairman of the PLO in 1969. In 1994, he received the Nobel Prize in Peace. In 2004 he died in France. His grave is in Ramallah.
